While we were in the Catskills a few weekends ago, Rica got to meet Buster, a 14 year-old Percheron. He was very friendly, but Rica was less so. This was her first time meeting a horse so her instinct was to try to kick him when he came over to greet her. She was a lot more comfortable--perhaps understandably--with the chickens.
